Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. So far you have ripped on a wide variety of perspectives – everyone from Al Barrow to Ron Crawford to Alon, to the Shredder, to Bob Cuddy — Bruce Gibson, Bill Garfinkel, Maria, Paavo, Pandora, Adam Hill, Mike, Watershed Mark, Gail McPherson, the entire TAC – have I left out anyone? Oh, me. I guess all these people are not in your category of being “underrepresented,” so they are fair game for verbal carnage?

So just WHY would anyone want to participate? You let people talk and then you come out with a hit piece.

I have a better idea. You go out into the community and report on the good stuff happening out there – people helping people – people whose groups help the community and give a positive report on these things. By establishing that you have changed, people could begin to trust you and might want to participate.

Why would anyone want to participate?

Good question. I believe it’s time that other people have a say on The Razor beside me and Ed. You’re right on the people that I’ve written about and criticized, but again, you’re talking about my opinions. People ought to have equal time — and that’s the foundation of people helping people.

So far, I haven’t had problems with anyone expressing their own on here — and I’ve seen commenters that, quite frankly, should be featured as columnists because they are opinionated, provocative and intelligent. I’m asking those people to step forward and provide their perspective; have that perspective appear side-by-side with my own.

When I mentioned “tremendous impact” earlier, I was talking about readership. There aren’t many people commenting on the articles, but there are a lot of people reading them. From what I’ve gathered, it’s been making great discussions and debates outside of the site — and that’s exactly what I’m aiming for.

Lynette, you mentioned all of those people. You’ve proven that the scrutiny on here is actually rather objective.

Lastly, it’s flattering that you feel that you have enough stature in the community of Los Osos to determine if I have “changed” and if people trust me. I’m just one voice out of many. It’s not about, “Can you trust this guy?” You have a voice as much as I have one, but I don’t see people putting you on the chopping block to evaluate the worth of your words and your character and whether people should trust you or not. That’s not the focal point of the discussion that we should be having.

I understand that Pandora is trying to get the community to “come together” by doing various “little projects” around town…Why doesn’t she do something that’s really credit worthy, such as helping senior/low income home owners with some inexpensive fixes like cleaning up front yards, maybe a little trim paint, getting rid of unused & unwanted junkers that are parked around town. That in itself would give the community a HUGE FACE LIFT without much money spent, but alot of hard work. SHE would get alot of praise if she could (or would) pull that one off.

Lisa, I’m sorry that you feel that the Celebrate Los Osos projects are not credit worthy. I disagree. They put a positive face on the community to show to visitors that we have some pride in our town.

I’m not saying that you don’t have a good idea, but it seems like a broader base to really make an impact might be needed. Seems like a topic for LOCAC or the LOCSD or the churches. People in distress need to be identified by people they feel safe with, not by drive by’s writing down addresses on run-down properties.

This all takes money as well as time. Why don’t you present your ideas to the above mentioned entities to see if someone is willing to take on organizing that. Everything positive in the town does not need to be done by Pandora. Will you put in some time or organize this?

Has anyone picked up a copy of “New Times” & read Lisa Schicker’s excellent response to the “Shredders” article regarding Los Osos? Her comments were factual & to the point, which leads me to believe that Lisa wrote this article HERSELF, without any extraneous & distracting “extra stuff”. Gail has the tendancy to lead people astray with all the extra B.S. she throws in. I think that may be why Warren Jenson didn’t take Lisa’s complaint seriously. Everyone knows, the readers interest will be lost when there’s over 1000 pages! Stick to just the facts, maam & have confidence in your OWN writing skills…you do not need Gail McPherson’s help with putting the “facts” together.

Lisa Schicker is a joke. She can’t chew gum and walk at the same time, though lord knows she’s tried. I have read her complaints against the county. What a bunch of crap.

The matter before this blog today, is that of the process by which a complaint submitted to proper Authorities in 2006 and was found then to be of no prosecaturial merit, has snowballed into a churning ball of crinckled paper. Has further devided the community, has isolated a minority of victims to belive that people who have been inaffectual in promoting change, will actually “git’er done” this time. Yes the opinion peice is a better written version of potions the original complaint (indicating multiple editors) with the addition that, the Complainant is a victim of a response to the complaint that was somehow unpredictable, being that is was such a valid good complaint, and therefore government non-response is inppropriate and could only be due to a coverup. Ridicule by the Media is more likely to be due to the fact that they failed to understand that a serious crime was committed. There is still hope.

Lisa Klump, I think the “Lisa” board tapped this community dry (literally) by forcing us to a WW project that won’t be able to address our basin issues for years – and oh yeah, bankrupting the CSD, CDO’s and NOV’s. It is amazing that she is STILL trying to stop a project.
