The problem with Ann here is her “shock and awe,” polemicist approach to conservatism. I feel that she could say what she has to say better without having to compare Barbara Walters reading her book to her reading Mein Kamph. I know a lot of people would be quick to dismiss Coulter as playing into Godwin’s law, but in reality, that bravado of hers and her snappy comments are childish.
Her message really undermines the moderate conservative message of fiscal and moral responsibility because she is a best-selling author who gets more attention quite a few kicks out of isolating single mothers as the reason why so many children grow up to be criminals. All that shock attention takes away from the quiet, reasonable conservative in the room who doesn’t associate himself/herself with Coulter.
